Meet your driver guide and ride at the pick-up & drop-off location of Vík.
After stocking up on supplies, you will begin your journey east on Route 1 before heading inland via a rest stop on the edge of the highlands.
First up on the agenda will be the majestic Axlarfoss waterfall, located in a spectacular canyon of basalt columns.
Next up: the incredible red crater known as Rauðibotn – situated next to another pristine waterfall known as Hólmsárfossar.
After an adventurous river crossing, the black sand desert awaits – and so does your first glimpse of the mighty Mælifell mountain.
The tour is not over just yet as one final jaw-dropping location remains: Bláfjallafoss waterfall.

After stocking up on supplies, you will begin your journey west on Route 1 before heading inland via a rest stop on the edge of the highlands.
First up on your journey into the volcanic highlands is the breathtaking Sigöldugljúfur, also known as “The Valley of Tears“.
From here, you will enter the heart of the volcanic highlands. Countless craters are scattered along the black, desolate landscape.
You will have the opportunity to stop at the multi-coloured crater lakes known as Hnausapollur and Ljótipollur.
Heading back westwards your driver will take you through some incredibly scenic mossy landscapes on the way to the Hekla volcano.
The final stop on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure is Rauðaskál – a stunning red crater at the base of Hekla.
